How far in advance to book a restroom trailer

One of the most frequently asked questions by our customers is how far in advance to book a restroom trailer.

The short answer: it depends on the size of your event, venue, trailer type, season, and any special setup requirements.

For most events, it's best to book your restroom trailer 4 to 8 weeks in advance. If your event is in Arizona between October and April, or happens on a Saturday, try to book 3 to 6 months ahead. For large weddings and multi-day festivals, plan to reserve 6 to 9 months in advance. Why this early?

Well, because over 2 million weddings take place yearly in the U.S. About 65% of weddings are held outdoors (gardens, barns combined). And roughly 17% of receptions take place at barns, farms, or ranches. This means you will be competing with every other weekend wedding in the Valley to get a luxury restroom trailer.

That’s why booking earlier gives you a much better chance of getting the trailer size and style you want, rather than settling for whatever happens to be available. It also gives you more flexibility with delivery times, placement, power and water requirements, and any special accommodations your venue may need.

Construction sites are a bit different. For a typical job site, booking 2 to 3 weeks ahead is usually enough. If you have a long-term project, it's a good idea to arrange your restroom trailer rental as soon as your schedule is set.

The reason for these time frames is simple. There are only so many restroom trailers available. While a rental company may have lots of plastic porta-potties, they might only have a limited number of luxury restroom trailers. Once those are booked for a weekend, they're no longer available.

What To Have Ready When You Call?

You don’t need to have every detail set to reserve a restroom trailer. However, the more information you provide, the sooner we can provide an accurate quote and secure your trailer.

  • Let us know the date and how long you’ll need the restroom trailer. Is it for a single day, a weekend, or a longer period?

  • Please share your preferred delivery and pickup times. Some venues have rules about when vendors can come and go.

  • Tell us how many guests you expect. This number is the main factor in deciding how many stalls you’ll need.

  • Let us know how many hours your event will last. For example, a four-hour reception and a twelve-hour festival with the same number of guests will need different setups.

  • Site address and a description of the drop location. Photos help greatly.

  • Is there a dedicated 20-amp 120V outlet nearby, or will there be no power available at the site?

  • Will there be a standard garden hose or water source within reach? Or is there no water available at all?

  • Do you need the restroom trailer to be ADA accessible? Please check your permit to be sure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I book a restroom trailer a week before my event?

Sometimes you can, especially if your event is on a weekday or during the summer. It’s best to call us directly to know what we can do for you. We always try our best to accommodate our customers.

How far in advance should I book a restroom trailer for a wedding?

For a weekend wedding during Arizona’s peak season, which is October through April, book 6 to 9 months ahead. In summer, 1 to 3 months is usually enough. Try to book at the same time as your venue and catering are done.

Is it cheaper to book early?

Booking early usually doesn’t lower the rental cost of a restroom trailer. But it does help you avoid extra costs. You might otherwise have to pay for a larger multi-stall trailer, higher delivery fees if one has to come from farther away, or rush scheduling charges.

What if my guest count changes after I book?

We let you adjust the capacity up to a certain deadline before your event. Be sure to ask about this when you reserve. It’s usually easier to increase than decrease, since lowering your order might mean a cancellation fee if a restroom trailer is already set aside.

Do construction restroom trailer rentals need as much lead time as events?

No, they don’t. Weekday and long-term rentals are more predictable and easier to schedule. For most short-term needs, two to three weeks is enough. If you need a long-term contract, booking earlier helps secure your schedule and pricing.

Ready To Book a Restroom Trailer For Your Event?

If you book early, you have a better chance of getting the restroom trailer you want. It also helps make delivery easier and ensures that water, power, placement, and servicing are all set up before your event starts.

If your event is happening soon, you may still have options. Reach out to us right away to see what is available. We sometimes have last-minute rentals, depending on the date, location, and trailer needs.
